Reminder: 091 Labs LAN this Saturday 15th June from 7pm


Hey there LAN-goers, it’s only four days till our next gaming night! It’s happening this Saturday the 15th of June from 7pm onwards, with early set-up from 6pm (arrive early to start playing early!). For those of you who who’ve never made it to any of our previous LAN nights, this is a fundraiser for Galway’s Makerspace. Our other LAN nights were great fun, sometimes lasting until the following afternoon. The details for this event have changed since our last post, so here they are in their entirety:

091 Labs,
6 Commerce House,

Galway (next to Gallery Beag)

Price:

Entry for the night will be 10 Euro, for both members and non-members.

Capacity:

20 people MAX
We will do our best to gauge how our attendance will look closer to the night and update this page accordingly.

Tournaments:

Tournaments have been reduced to one, with super-secret prizes. On the night we’ll be having a Free-For-All tournament using a special version of the Gun Game Mod for Call of Duty 4 (we’ll have the mod ready to be installed on the night).

Please note that any under attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a guardian.

We’ll have a fully-stocked tuck shop and our MAME arcade cabinet will be set up for anyone needing a break from the main attraction.
Location: Office 1, Tyrone House, 47 Eyre Square, Galway.
(Look for the sign in the doorway to the right of Kennedy’s pub.)Price:
€10 prebooked ticket -or- €12 door charge.
€3 Members of 091 Labs.
All monies will go towards the upkeep of 091 Labs.

CompSoc charity LAN in 091 Labs for Habitat for Humanity


Fresh from the NUI Galway CompSoc mailing list =) Charity LAN!

CompSoc are holding an epic LAN in the fantastic 091labs (http://091labs.com) who have generously / foolishly given us their home for the night. The bloodshed and battle will commence at 4pm on Saturday, the 31st of March.

There will be free pizza for all who attend to keep you pwning throughout the night and a tuck shop for all those who need MOAR sugar to fuel their EXTRA PWNAGE!!!!11! (etc.)

The event is in aid of Habitat for Humanity, who improve the living conditions in Africa substantially by building houses.
