091 Labs is a collaborative community space based in Galway City, Ireland. It is a shared physical space for any and all creative projects: art, woodwork, software, photography and electronics – to name but a few. Our aim is to provide Galway with a place for people to work and collaborate on creative projects, to learn and to share their knowledge. We welcome all skill levels and all creative ideas.

We are funded by membership fees, fundraising, workshops, events and donations. We are a part of a loosely-knit international movement known as Hackerspaces (also known as Makerspaces or Creative Spaces). While many hacker- and makerspaces focus mainly on technology-based projects, we aim to be more diverse and to incorporate the thriving arts community in Galway.

Ireland currently has four active hacker/makerspaces: 091 Labs in Galway, TOG in Dublin, MiLKlabs (Limerick) and Nexus Cork.

091 Labs is run on a voluntary basis by members, and is funded by membership, workshops and events. If you would like to donate using Paypal please use the Shop/Donate page.
